The temple complex in the village of Tavrovo. Temple v 2 and 3.
The plot for the projected temple complex is located on the southern outskirts of Belgorod, in the village of Tavrovo and is surrounded by private low-rise buildings. The main feature of the site is the presence of an ancient burial mound within its borders, which is under state protection. It is possible to build in its place only after excavation and research, for which the passage currently has no funds. For this reason, buildings and landscaping are not provided in its place.
There is a small temple-chapel on the site. According to the assignment, it was necessary to make a project of the main church, all office and parish buildings and landscaping.
The prototype of the 2nd version of the project of the main temple in honor of the Peschanskaya Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Tavrovo was the idea of clouds and a cover from the icon of the same name. The central core of the temple is a cubical, pillarless, five-domed quadrangle with a large porch, above which there are choirs, rooms for priests, a Sunday school room, accounting, a service wardrobe and a small pantry. The main temple on the north and south sides is complemented by side chapels and a bell tower, from which access to the roof is possible. For the convenience of access for people with limited mobility, the floor of the church is made on the same level with the ground. The decorative design of the facades is made in shades of blue.
Variant of temple No. 3 has an identical layout to variant 2, but the facades differ, they are more strict. Their prototype was the Assumption-St. Nicholas Church in Belgorod, which is the oldest preserved religious building in the Belgorod region.
