A hotel complex in Karelia.

The hotel complex is located in one of the most beautiful places in Karelia - the Gulf of Kiryavalakhti. It is located in the northern part of Lake Ladoga, and translated from Karelian and Finnish means "mottled, sparkling bay".

The complex will be located on a plot of 10.3 hectares and will include many facilities. This hotel project is one of the central architectural objects of the entire complex.

The prototype of the hotel was the Old Norse "longhouse" which was common in these places in ancient times. In the center of such houses there was a hearth, around which all family members gathered, their number could reach 50-80 people. In the project of the hotel complex, the hearth and public space are also located in the center, at the intersection of three ray compartments. Two compartments are occupied for hotel rooms and one for a dining room, the hall of which has a second light. Such a three-beam structure allows you to arrange compartments in a variety of ways on the master plan. Each compartment can have its own functional purpose and, like the molecular structure, interact differently with other buildings of the complex (be built, or stand alone). The choice of wall and roof materials also makes the new hotel project related to the ancient Scandinavian analogues.
