The Church of Peter and Paul.

When Peter, on behalf of all the Apostles, confessed Christ as the Son of God, the Savior said to him - you are Peter and on this stone I will build My church and the gates of hell will not overcome it. Peter's confession becomes the foundation stone of the Church. However, in the proper sense, the cornerstone of the Church is Christ Himself. The Apostle Paul called the Church the Eucharistic Body of Christ.

The appearance of the temple resembles a fortress that the gates of hell will not overcome. The rough stone texture of the walls contrasts with the smoothly processed drums raised above the ground. When designing, I was inspired by temples with a picturesque location of the domes and belfry. It should be noted that in ancient three-domed temples, almost always, the number of chapters corresponds to the number of chapels. In my project, I also made the number of chapters correspond to the number of chapels. On the main floor there are two side chapels, and one more - the third at the level of the choirs. Above each of the aisles is a drum. The longitudinal section clearly shows that the arch supporting the drum does not reach the wall a little. Thus, between the arch and the conch, a light opening is obtained, the light from which illuminates the salt. The temple was designed for Moscow. Since the temple resembles a fortress, the town-planning idea was to place it on the corner of the courtyard. Thus, the temple is a semantic accent, such as the towers of fortresses used to be.
